This booklet was published in 1976 in aid of Wimbish School. As it contains much of interest by one of the most important natives of Wimbish, it has been converted to PDF format and is available as a free download. Ben Taylor was born and died in Wimbish. He ran Taylor Brothers and was a steam-engine enthusiast. He left a farm field to the Parish Council for the benefit of the village he loved. And he left us his memories in this book.

The field is named “The Lucy May Field” to commemorate his Ben Taylor’s wife. The Parish Council has planted part of the field with native trees.
